State Park - Sylvan Lake
Back to Main
Area Map |
One of western Colorado's best kept secrets, Sylvan Lake State Park is an incredibly
scenic park open year-round for campers, picnickers, hikers, photographers and
those who just want to relax in this wonderful alpine atmosphere. Surrounded by
the White River National Forest, nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains,
Sylvan Lake offers a spectacular setting for visitors. There's a lovely campground
right next to a small, high-mountain lake for small-boat and off-shore fishing.
This is a great spot for picnicking, hiking and outdoor photography at the foot
of beautiful, wooded mountains. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our cabins are a great place for a winter retreat. Stay warm and cozy when not
out playing in the snow or ice fishing. We also offer winter campsites in Fisherman's
Paradise with spectacular views. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Directions - Exit I-70 at Eagle and head south. Take Hwy 6 west. Turn left on
Broadway (second left). Turn left on 5th Street and right on Capitol. At the next
stop sign, turn left. Travel south on Brush Creek Road (CR 307) for 10 miles.
Veer right at the fork in the road and travel an additional five miles on West
Brush Creek Road to the park. Sylvan Lake State Park 15000 Brush
